About Us:

Our farm, McCall Land & Cattle Co., is located in Moriarty, NM on 320 acres. It is owned and operated by Kevin and Kirsten McCall and their two children Morgan and Caleb.

Kevin farms about 300 acres of alfalfa hay, grass hay, oats, corn &, of course, pumpkins. In 1998 Kevin invited his first school groups out to the farm for field trips, hoping to give kids a taste of what farm life is like during harvest season. The following year Kirsten quit her job as a teacher & started helping with the business.

Up until 2000, pumpkins were sold wholesale to grocery stores & Wal-Mart. Now all of our pumpkins are picked by visitors to the farm.

Owning a small farm in today's economy is very, very tough. We feel blessed that the Pumpkin Patch has made it possible for us to keep the farm, when so many small farms are going under.

We are very passionate about our business – we want the Pumpkin Patch to be a place for families to come spend quality time together, making lasting memories. We also want it to be a place for kids and adults to reconnect with our agricultural heritage and still important industry.

Because we are open for such a short season, we cannot afford to employ many throughout the entire year (usually just one or two). Though we are forever indebted to our wonderful seasonal staff, most everything else is done by Kevin & Kirsten. We have invested everything we have into our business & hope you appreciate our efforts.

We thank you for choosing to spend the day with us. We especially thank those who have been returning year after year.
