About Us:

We are four generations of wine makers and who have been living here in Northern New Mexico for quite some time. Part of our family is Native American, through Pueblo, Comanche and other Native American tribes as well as Spanish Colonial, we also have bits and pieces of Sephardic pasts. We are a blend of people who love and live on the land.

Two years ago, we decided as a family to mutually work together to develop the family land and continue the learning of wine making that Grandpa Secondino, Dad's dad started many years ago. We still use his recipe for the Choke Cherry wine. We also carry his thirst for continued development through education, hard work and experience. His favorite question to us growing up was, " Are you a producer or a consumer?" With that in mind when we spent time with him we would have the option of working outside chopping firewood or do homework inside. Since Grandpa was an educator, homework was never a problem for him to come up with. Yet with that in mind, he always wanted us to remember who we are and how we play with our neighbors to create and develop our community.

We still do homework, learning of wine, business and building our community to make a better place is what we value. We continue to work with the land in a sustainable manner so that it can be available to our next generations, thus the name las nueve ninas. There are a total of nine granddaughters in the family and one grandson. We endeavor to make our wines to reflect some of our favorite flavors and in essence create liquid music.

Goal:

Our goal is to provide quality New Mexico wine in a fun contemporary manner to create others a positively enjoyable experience.
